What is Street Surfing?

Street Surf is latest evolution in the skateboard world. It's made from 2 decks linked with a spring torsion bar, with two wheels angled at 45? which can turn freely. Gives you a similar feeling to surfing or snowboarding, but on the street! And you'll be surprised at how easy it is to pick up. You'll find your balance just by getting moving. By the boards with your feet and turning your shoulders you'll be speeding along without ever putting a foot on the ground! Street surf is being used to get around town - as much for the fun of it as for the time saving, and brands like "The Wave" are also being tried out for slalom or tricks in the skatepark.

How to choose your Street Surf board?

There are two main brands: "The Wave" and "Ripstik". In our opinion, these are the best available in terms of build quality and ride comfort. Available in a variety of colours, and also with a Stealth model, covered in grip tape, for those who want greater control. There's also a kids model (Ripple), for those under 1.40 m (4'7'') high. This is perfect for younger riders as it's better adapted to their shorter legs, so gives better foot position.
