Nomades Skates. A world of skates in Paris.

Kids skates

These are designed with actual rubber wheels and branded bearings. What's more, the liners are ultra-comfortable and offer unbeatable ankle-support for maximum safety. These skates can be adjusted across 4 or 5 shoe sizes, thanks to an ingenious flexible liner, which shifts at the press of a button. Various sizes are available which grow along with your child: from 25-29, then 29-34, from 32-37 and 36-40. With great safety, comfort and durability, the new generation of kids skates are a great buy!

Street Skates (or Aggressive Skates)

These skates are as good on the ramp in the skatepark as they are doing tricks on the street. The wheels are small diameter, since you don't go long distance (even just 4 wheels in total + 4 antirockers), well-built boots, with plastic grind plates to grip onto the edges of pavements or stairs. Our advice: For maximum safety, don't skate with poor quality equipment or protection. A pair of street or aggressive skates costs between £99 and £300.

Fitness Skates (or Starter/Intermediate Skates)

Designed for light use, street use in town or country roads. Perfect for occasional skaters or those who want to skate just with friends or family. These are both fun and safe, with good comfort and ankle support, together with a mid-size chassis (or frame) for a good balance between stability and manoeuvrability. Wheels and bearings are designed to give you good grip and a smooth ride, so you can just concentrate on skating. Our advice: Your skates will last you for several years, and your skill level will increase in that time, so don't go for the bottom of the range! A pair of beginner skates costs between £99 and £159.

Freestyle skates

These solid and manoeuvrable skates allow for more precise movements. Because of this, these are the skates of choice for fun-lovers, slalom-fans, and aggressive-skaters, for the combination of glide, jumps, and grinds - not forgetting street hockey players. Key features: versatile, short frame size, solid and responsive for greater precision, harder wheels, abrasion-resistant liners. Our advice: Freeskates are the choice if you want to have fun! Between £149 and £339.

Speed Skates and Fitness Skates

These skates have most in common with ordinary fitness Skates, but with larger wheels. This gives greater comfort on uneven surfaces, without losing the breathless feeling of speed. The liners have been redesigned and optimised for greater comfort and support for the widest range of users. Our advice: Fitness skating of this kind is perfect for those who want to skate fast without losing control. Between £159 and £249. Speed skates are often used by professional skaters for training, they have protective carbon liners, with greater comfort than a racing skate, and a slightly higher cuff to give much more manageability on the street. You can choose your size and frame length from a wide range of models, which will affect the wheel diameter and the balance of speed and manoeuvrability. We say: endurance and speed - a great combination for adrenaline junkies! Speed skates: between £199 and £499.

Roller hockey

This sport becomes more popular each year. That's no surprise, since not only is it a great way to learn to skate and have fun, it's also a great sport for those who already skate well. Some sticks, a puck and a suitable playing surface, and you'll become a street hockey player in no time! Roller Hockey Range

Quad Skate

These are the same idea as in the 80s: a movable chassis (frame, wheels and wheel bearings) mounted on some trainers. One of the great things about it is being able to customise your skates, and to be as comfortable as you are in your shoes, as well as being able to change the shoes when they're worn. Our advice: Despite what you might think, it's harder to use quad skates compared to inline skates, as the frame is shorter, so it's less stable. Around £159.
